Job Title: Deputy Nursery Manager
Location: Peckham, London
Salary: £29,000 - £32,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to join our thriving nursery in Peckham, London. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced childcare professional to play a key role in the leadership and day-to-day running of a high-quality early years setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Nursery Manager in the overall management of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.Lead and mentor a team of practitioners, promoting best practices in early years education. Oversee planning and implementation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring activities are engaging and developmentally appropriate. Ensure all safeguarding and health & safety policies are adhered to, maintaining compliance with Ofsted and other regulatory requirements. Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and the local community to enhance children’s learning and well-being. Assist in administrative duties such as staff rotas, recruitment, and maintaining accurate records. Step in as Acting Manager when required.

Requirements:

Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years/Childcare (e.g., NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent).Proven experience in a leadership role within a nursery or early years setting. Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and Ofsted regulations. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Passion for early childhood development and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
